Rooted in Place. Built for Generations
What’s Going On Here follows the development of this property within Stanwood’s Historic West End while connecting the neighborhood’s past, present, and future.
Through project updates, local history, photographs, and stories from the neighborhood, the site documents both the property’s development and the vision behind it.
Inspired by the character and history of Stanwood’s Historic West End, this multipurpose community building is designed to become a lasting neighborhood landmark—built to serve generations while welcoming people of all ages, with a special emphasis on creating opportunities for youth through creativity, learning, gatherings, and connection.
The project is intended to complement and strengthen the City of Stanwood’s vision of an emerging arts and cultural district, while encouraging collaboration with the nearby Meyer Art Center and other community partners. Together, these efforts can help create a more connected, welcoming destination that celebrates Stanwood’s history while investing in its future.
